Try to imagine someone on a diving safari in Maldives. Most of us will instantly think of a very relaxing and peaceful environment. In fact, it is completely true. Maldives is a paradise to relax. However the ocean is full of plenty activity and some of the most dangerous animals in the planet live in the deep sea.
Despite the fact that diving is a very safe activity, divers can find a few dangers we should keep in mind while diving in Maldives or in some other diving sights in the world. At Submaldives we would like to face this dangers so let’s take a look to be aware of the most dangerous animals that live in the ocean.
The Stonefish can usually be found, perfectly camouflaging its body between rocks or on the floor of the ocean, waiting for other fish to swim and getting ready to open its jaws with lightning speed and eat its prey at the impressive speed of less than 0.15 seconds. It is regarded as the most venomous fish in the world.
One drop of venom from a Cone Snail is enough to kill more than 15 humans lives. It is also known as the “cigarette snail”. Just try to think why. It has been proved that you’ll have just about enough time to smoke a cigarette before you stop breathing. Conus snails are all venomous so be aware of them because there is no antivenin.
Next. The Great White Shark. Because everybody knows something about it, few things have to be explain about this incredible creature. Considered one of the most dangerous animals in the planet, the reality is that while shark attacks are bloody, more people die annually from simple wasp and bee sting. This shark has a very powerful jaw that can bite buoys, surfboards or anything that floats, even humans. However, sharks do not normally hunt humans. The Great White Sharks is constantly and incorrectly perceived as the world’s most dangerous animal and at Submaldiveswe have a lot of respect for this amazing creature.
As we have already said, more people die from simple wasp and bee sting rather than directly from a shark attack. But there is another creature in the ocean that kills more people every year than sharks or even the stonefish, crocodiles and sharks combined. I t doesn’t look that dangerous but the Box Jellyfish has been labeled as one of the world’s most venomous animal.
